What We Do
Get involved! Plant just 160 trees to offset your personal carbon footprint for the entire year! Ken Chaplin, in Red Deer planted 15,170 seedlings in one day. Don’t be telling Ken 160 trees per year is too hard!
Want to stop Climate Change? Plant trees! At the moment, our biggest problem — climate change — could be ended by simply planting trees. Okay, so the world needs 1 trillion trees. But how hard is that, really?
In July, Ethiopia alone planted more than 350 million trees in 12 hours. Their reforestation campaign aimed to plant 4 billion trees by the end of Oct 2019. In 2017, India set the world record when around 1.5 million volunteers planted 66 million in 12 hours. Canada has an approximate 302,700 square miles (784,000 square km) to plant more trees. Alberta has so much space with very little trees growing.
